Positive Change for Healthcare Clients

Our philosophy is based on two main principles. The first is to affect positive change for our healthcare clients. We want the healthcare practices we work for to thrive and be happy with the services we provide. Our CEO Elizabeth Miller has been in the medical billing industry for more than 30 years. She is aware of how unhappy medical providers are with their billing companies and the medical billing process. Yet, they are unmotivated to change billing companies. They feel all medical billing companies are the same. That is just not true at ConsumerLink. Miller knew we needed to help providers collect more money earlier in the process. To do this, we needed to reach out to patients and give them real options to pay for their medical bills. This is the heart of our early out program.

Early Out Program: Patient Education and Outreach

While our medical billers and coders work hard to ensure every insurance rejection and denial is reworked and paid, our early out program focuses on patient outreach, education, and payment. Patients need to understand their bills. They need to know what their payment options are. That is why ConsumerLink’s second focus is to bridge the gap between provider groups and their patients. We do this by fostering a better understanding of medical billing. Simply put – when patients understand their bill, they are more likely to pay their bill. This is the foundation of our early out program. This is empowering for the patient and beneficial for the medical practice.

We focus on supporting patients by giving them choices on how to pay their medical bills. Trained in medical billing, our HIPAA certified staff answers all calls to our in-house call center. These representatives help answer questions patients have about their bills. They also provide them with information on how to pay their bill or schedule a payment. ConsumerLink’s patient outreach and education often results in patient responsibilities being collected more quickly than with traditional mailed statements alone.
